For Enterprise · Education & ESL

Every student. Finally reachable.

Add Cascade to your product, and the content you’re building will reach more students, automatically.

The Research

The same words. Understood with less effort.

Four decades of peer-reviewed research back this up: when the relationships inside text are clear, readers understand the same words with less effort. Cascade makes those relationships easier to ascertain, by making the relationships in text truly visible, automatically, in whatever product you’re building. Comprehension improves. Reader confidence follows. And it holds across reading levels, ages, and learning differences.

The Evidence

Neurodiverse learners see it first.

No identification required. No labeling. No separate version to build. Cascade structures the same content you’re already producing in a way research shows helps more students access it, including those who find reading difficult. Every student benefits, and none of them have to be singled out to get it.

Second-Language & Multilingual Learners

Learning to read, or learning the language. We help either way.

Non-native English speakers showed comprehension gains in a single session, without translation, without simplification. And for students reading in their native language, Cascade already supports English, Spanish, French, German, and Italian, so your product doesn’t have to choose one audience over the other.

How Cascade Fits In

The words don't change. Your product's capability does.

Add Cascade to your product once, and every student who uses it benefits without you building or maintaining a separate accessible version. The words don’t change. What changes is what every reader can more readily perceive within them, and what becomes possible when the friction is reduced.

Common questions

Is there research behind Cascade Format?

Cascade is backed by multiple studies across age groups and reading profiles, published in peer-reviewed journals. See the Research Portfolio.

Is Cascade actually free for teachers?

Yes. Individual teachers can register a free account and be ready to use it in minutes with no training required. Schools or districts can access Cascade under a license agreement.

How does Cascade help English language learners and students who struggle with reading?

By making sentence structure visible, Cascade gives both groups a scaffold for spotting how words relate to each other.  See the Research Portfolio for a peer-reviewed study demonstrating the value of Cascade for ESL readers.

What if I want Cascade for my whole school or district, not just my own classroom?

Individual sign-up stays free, but a school or district-wide rollout goes through Cascade’s Education solutions team. Have your school reach out directly. Cascade also runs pilots for teams and organizations.

Is Cascade Reading evidence-based?

Yes. Cascade has conducted rigorous research which has been published in peer-reviewed journals, including two separate longitudinal studies following 4th and 5th graders and a University of Illinois eye-tracking study of 80 adult readers. See the Research Portfolio.

Is there real evidence this helps readers who struggle with reading, ADHD, or dyslexia?

Yes. Four in five adults with ADHD or dyslexia preferred Cascade Format over traditional text. See the Research Portfolio.

What does it cost to build Cascade into our product?

The cost and model depends upon the nature of the application and implementation, ranging from license fees to royalties.

Do you offer pilots for teams or organizations?
